Welcome to Italian & Vegan! A website dedicated entirely to creating the best possible vegan alternatives to Italian food. From simple mushroom and sausage pasta to polpettone itself, this blog will cover it all. We all know that Italian food is the best food in the world – what most people don’t realize is that it doesn’t necessarily have to be covered in mozzarella and parmesan to taste good. At least, that’s what I’m going to try to prove – on my quest to veganize all of my favorite Italian foods, and perhaps invent some new ones along the way.
Many of these recipes are completely random experiments that turned out to taste rather good. In fact, a lot of these are hard to even re-create, just because the entire process was so random the first time I did it. Hopefully your experience will be similar, and my recipes will just be starting points on your own culinary adventures.
