Delicious Home Made Bread
Having home made bread is one of the most incredible feelings when it comes to food. I love bread with every meal, but knowing that you made even the bread, and eating delicious bread, really makes it incredible. This recipe is extremely easy and makes some very excellent bread. It’s good on it’s own, but I used some of it to make a tomato and avocado sandwich, and it was truly irresistible.
Ingredients
- 300g white flour
- 150g self raising flour
- 14g fast action yeast
- 70ml water
- 2tsp salt
- 10 black olives
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- fresh rosemary
- himalayan rock salt
Preparation (10 minutes + 1 hour wait)
Preheat the oven to about 200 °C. Mix the two flours, yeast, olives (chopped), and the salt in a large bowl together. Add the water and olive oil, then knead into a dough. It should be slightly sticky, but you should be able to mold it into a general shape. Leave the dough in the bowl and cover with some cling film. Leave to sit for at least an hour, two if possible. Then, take pieces of the dough, however big you wish your loaves to be (or you can even just make one big loaf if you want, although small ones probably taste better), and put them on a lightly oiled baking tray. Drizzle some olive oil on top of all the loaves, then add some chopped fresh rosemary and himalayan rock salt on top. Stick it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, take it out, and you have some excellent home made bread!
I absolutely love rosemary and those loaves look bloody gorgeous.
